From Hackers-IL
Shlomi Fish is an Israeli who is a programmer by trade, but also dabbles in Mathematics, Philosophy; Creative, Technical and Essayist Writing; he also studied in the Technion in the vain hope of becoming an Electrical Engineer. He graduated, but still only have a vain hope of becoming one.
You can learn more about Shlomi from his homepage.
Note that Shlomi prefers people to pronounce his name with the stress on the "Mi" and not on the "Lo". The common Isreali pronouncation is with the stress on the "lo". However, the correct Biblical pronouncation is the other one.
In Hebrew Shlomi writes his name as שלומי פיש. He is named after his late grandfather Shlomo, and has a younger cousin named Shlomi. (which the family distinguished by using the terms "Shlomi the Big" and "Shlomi the Little".)
