Marc's Differential SCSI Cable
From Hackers-IL
Marc's Differential SCSI Cable is one of the sacred disciplinary tools, which played a sacred role in the trials, rituals, flame wars and tribulations of the Linux-IL mailing list. By embracing and extending, it is an icon also of the Hackers-IL mailing list.
The origins of Marc's Differential SCSI Cable are shrouded in mystery. All is known about it is that it was once owned by a sharp- and nimble-tongued linguist called Marc A. Volovic.
Apparently, when Marc A. Volovic got tired of one too many clueless newbie's questions in the Linux-IL mailing list, he threatened to use a differential SCSI cable on the person of future clueless newbies.
Eventually, other venues for newbies were opened, and the Differential SCSI Cable fell into disuse. To ensure its preservation for posterity, it was declared as having a sacred role.
